About MIT Libraries

MIT’s Hayden Library fosters connections between people and collections, providing a place to make sense of the information and the world around us or to simply enjoy the stunning views of the Charles River. An upcoming renovation of Hayden Library gives us a terrific opportunity to design spaces that meet both the enduring and the emerging needs of our community.

Inspired by one of his favorite spaces on campus, Sid Yip, Professor Emeritus in the Department of Nuclear Science and Engineering, is challenging donors to give generously to the Hayden renovation. Your gift will help the Libraries preserve the unique character and atmosphere of a place that encourages creativity, contemplation, and collaboration at MIT.
