MIT's pioneering experiential learning abroad program
On Pi Day, March 14, your gift to MISTI has extra impact: if 100 donors make a gift of any size to MISTI, Tina Lee ’91 and an additional anonymous donor will make a combined $10,000 challenge gift. PLUS, if an additional 53.1415 donors give, they will give a total of $15,000.
MIT International Science and Technology Initiatives (MISTI) gives students the tools to help solve the world's challenges by matching them with tailored, hands-on projects around the world. An embodiment of MIT's mens at manus learning culture, MISTI provides students with professional opportunities to take their education abroad and apply it to real world problems.
Help MIT students build a better world
Each year MISTI matches more than 1,000 MIT students with projects across the globe. From harvesting fog in Chile that provides clean water for local communities to researching assistive robotics at an artificial intelligence lab in France to creating a startup distribution company that connects people in rural India with life-improving technologies, MISTI students are working with peers across the world to learn about global problems and how to solve them.
Your gift on March 14 to any MISTI fund helps MISTI prepare MIT students to lead in addressing the world’s most pressing problems by pairing extensive cross-cultural knowledge with practical experience abroad.
